Iyengar Yoga is a precise and accessible form of yoga that emphasizes alignment, stability, and mindful movement. Using props like blocks, belts, and chairs, it supports students of all levels regardless of age, ability, or experience.
Poses are held longer to build strength, flexibility, and focus. The structured, progressive approach starts with foundational postures and gradually introduces more advanced work, including inversions and breath control (pranayama).
Each class offers a balanced mix of poses, tailored to develop both body and mind. With its emphasis on detail and awareness, Iyengar Yoga is often described as meditation in action, bringing harmony, clarity, and well-being.
Our General Yoga classes are open to students of all levels from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Practicing together allows students to learn from one another, creating a supportive and inspiring environment.
Experienced teachers guide the class with variations and adaptations of poses (asanas) to suit each individual’s ability and needs. The focus is on helping every student progress at their own pace and develop a personal, sustainable practice.
Beginners Yoga classes are suitable for anyone with no prior experience or up to one year of regular practice. Using Iyengar yoga props such as blocks, straps, bolsters, and wall ropes, students of all fitness levels are supported in safely learning and understanding the foundations of yoga.
Beginners are also welcome to attend workshops, which are designed to deepen personal experience and offer tools for self-healing and continued growth.
Pregnancy is a unique and transformative time in a woman’s life. As the body and mind undergo significant changes, a tailored yoga practice can help maintain physical health, emotional stability, and inner calm throughout pregnancy.
Our pregnancy yoga classes are designed to meet the specific needs of expectant mothers, supporting them in preparing for childbirth while also nurturing the well-being of the developing baby. The practice offers a foundation for the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of both mother and child.
While it is ideal to begin yoga and pranayama before conception, regular practice during pregnancy and after birth offers lasting benefits. A gentle yoga practice can usually be resumed around three months after delivery.
Courses are offered on demand and begin with a minimum of three participants.
Children derive enormous benefits from Yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface. Suitable for children from 6 up to 12 years old. The classes are taught in Dutch but can be translated to English.
You can book a private class and enjoy the benefit of Yoga or Ayurveda in a one-2-one session with our teachers.
